Promouvoir l’éducation des enfants vulnérables est l’une des missions de UCBUM. Pour y arriver, UCBUM a commencé par prendre  en charge les enfants qui vivaient du dépotoir en les ramenant à l’école. Ces enfants, qui au paravent, passaient leurs journées à fouiller dans le grand dépotoir de Buterere, sont aujourd’hui à l’école. 150 enfants suivis dans le projet «Du Dépotoir à l’Ecole »ont été récemment réintégré dans leurs familles après 3 ans de suivis par le centre U.C.B.U.M. Ils seront désormais suivis par leurs familles qui bénéficieront l’accompagnement de U.C.B.U.M dans leurs projets.

Leurs places sont désormais occupés par 150 enfants nouvellement accueilli par U.C.B.U.M y compris ceux qui furent de la rue et d’autres recueillis au dépotoir avec le projet "IBARABARA NTIRIRERA". Que ce soient les anciens et nouveaux enfants suivis par U.C.B.U.M, tous ont reçu du  kit scolaire suffisant pour cette année scolaire. Nous profitons de l’occasion pour exprimer nos vifs remerciements à toute personne et organisation qui a contribué pour arriver à ce succès.

Signalons que les 150 enfants sortant continuer à participer dans les activités de U.C.B.U.M tous les Samedis.

Family reintegration of children supported by U.C.B.U.M

Promoting the education of vulnerable children is one of U.C.B.U.M's missions. To achieve that milestone, U.C.B.U.M started by bringing back to school children who lived from the remains they could find in the dump site located in Buterere. Children, who used to spend their time grubbing in the large dump in Buterere, are now at school. 150 children supported in the project "From the Dump to School" were recently reintegrated into their families after 3 years spent assisted by U.C.B.U.M. From now on, they will be supported by their families, which will be supported by our organisation in their own projects.

Their places are now taken by 150 children newly welcomed to U.C.B.U.M including former street children and others taken from the dump site with "IBARABARA NTIRIRERA" project. Both former and new children supported by U.C.B.U.M, received sufficient school material for the current school year. We take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the people and organizations who have contributed to this success.

Note that the 150 outgoing children continue to participate in U.C.B.U.M activities every Saturday.
