Godeberte H. 28 ans, habite le quartier Nyarumanga de la zone Buterere. Originaire de la commune Giheta en Province Gitega, elle a abandonné l’école en 5è année primaire suite au manque du matériel scolaire ‘’c’était difficile pour ma mère d’assurer l’éducation de 6 enfants’’.  Elle décida d'aller à Bujumbura pour chercher un emploi.

Elle travailla comme domestique mais  réalisa que ce travail ne lui permettait pas de réaliser ses objectifs de la vie. Elle trouve l’orientation de la vie avec UCBUM après avoir bénéficiée d’une formation en coupe couture et en compétences à la vie courante. Elle rejoint le Groupement de Solidarité (GS) Turashoboye encadré par UCBUM en Avril 2018 et lorsque le GS a partagé les dividendes, Godelieve a encaissé une somme de 356.000 Fbu, épargne et intérêt confondus. Elle s’acheta une machine à coudre et commença son propre business.

Responsable et aimable, Godeberte prend en charge et héberge 3 enfants non-biologiques. Grâce au revenu qu’elle tire de la couture (150.000Fbu par mois), elle parvient à assurer l’éducation de ces enfants et aussi nourrir ses protégés. Très déterminée, elle rêve ouvrir un grand atelier de couture et donner du travail  aux filles en difficultés. A travers les groupements de solidarité, UCBUM appuie 343 filles comme Godeberte dans les zones de Buterere, Kinama et Kamenge.

Godeberte dreams of opening a sewing shop and give jobs to girls in difficulties. 

Habonimana Godeberte, 28 years old, lives in Nyarumanga, Buterere neighborhood. Originally from Giheta commune in Gitega Province, she dropped out of school in 5th grade of primary school due to the lack of school materials '' It was difficult for my mother to educate 6 children ''. She decided to go to Bujumbura to look for a job.

She worked as a baby-sitter but realized that it could not allow her to achieve her life goals. UCBUM helped her achieve her vision after she followed a training in tailoring and in life skills. Godeberte joined Turashoboye Savings group supported by UCBUM in April 2018 and when the group shared the savings, Godeberte got a sum of 356,000 Fbu including her savings and interest generated. She, therefore, bought herself a sewing machine and started her own job.

Responsible and kind, Godeberte takes care of 3 non-biological children. Thanks to income she earns from tailoring (150.000Fbu per month), she manages to support the education of these children and feeding them. Very determined, she dreams of opening a large sewing shop and give jobs to girls in difficulties. UCBUM supports 343 girls like Godeberte through savings groups.
